Tensile testing poses little risk to operators, but some concerns should be addressed:

Because the samples can be under large loads, users should keep hands and face away from the machine during testing.

Be aware that the sample may make a loud noise when fracturing at the end of the test.

The typical MATE 215 safety attire is required for tensile testing.
